The museum has its own cafe, but if you want to further explore the area or need to wait for the car park at the museum to quieten down you might like to visit the nearby Hive at Nenthead.

....Stanhope is home to two excellent wool shops. Why not park your car in Stanhope and hop on the 101 bus to Killhope (NB request stop, limited service) then visit Woollyback and Woolmouse on your return?
Accessibility
Killhope North of England Lead Mining Museum's accessibility statement can be found here. The Summer Wool Event will be held in the yurt compound which is reached by a short, steep path from the main museum site. The yurt compound has a bark chip surface.
